How long does it take to receive my deposit after returning the rental vehicle?

When you return your SANI SIXT rental vehicle, our team conducts a thorough vehicle inspection (checking fuel level, damage, e-tolls/traffic fines, and kilometer usage).
Processing Timelines
- Standard Deposit Release: Released within 3 to 7 business days after the rental is closed.
- Bank Processing: Depending on your banking institution (especially international card issuers), funds may take up to 10 to 14 business days to reflect in your account.
- E-Tolls & Traffic Fines: If any toll or fine notifications are received post-rental, these may be processed separately as per your rental agreement.
Note on Zero Holding Deposit: If you booked under SANI SIXT Zero Holding Deposit offer, no deposit amount is frozen on your credit card!
Need to follow up?
If 14 business days have elapsed and your deposit has not reflected, please submit a ticket with your rental agreement number and contact details, or email our accounts team at customercare@sanisixt.co.za.
